Many people do not think of a car as a tax donation. Many charities will take a Car Donation. They will often take cars that do not run.You can set the donation up by contacting the charity, which will arrange for pick up of the vehicle. Veteran’s groups, children’s charities and even homeless shelters accept vehicles. They will turn the car into a lot that will strip it for parts or crush the car. These lots will pay the charity for the car. The money is then used to help in their charitable endeavors. Some charities will even accept a car that does not have a title. The hardest part of the process is arranging and waiting for the pick up of the vehicle. Make sure that you schedule the pick up when you have ample time. Often the charity will arrange a window of three to four hours to pick up the vehicle.
